A few days ago, I had to go on Paxil. Not because of depression, but for a situation I am in now. I will only be on it for a few months until I am removed from this situation. That is a disqualifier, isn't it?
Now I know, I can get a waiver. But I am prior active duty Air Force. Honorable discharge but under medical conditions. I will also need a waiver for that.
I realize that there is no way of telling who will get a waiver and who will not. It's just up to the 'Gods' of that day. But getting TWO waivers?! What are the chances of that happening?

Relax, take care of yourself first, and worry about the rest later. All hope is not necessarilly lost, if you really have the drive to serve you may have to jump through a few extra hoops later but for now just take each day as it comes.
If you look around the net on this and other forums there are several stories of people who were taking antidepressants and who after treatment were able to get a waiver to get in.
Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

You still have quite a good chance of getting in. Take the next few months to get through the current situation you are in. Your mental health is most important right now. Once you are through this bump in the road, re-evaluate everything.
Everything will be fine. Just take it one day at a time and make sure you get yourself through this problem you are having.
PM or email me if you'd like. I've talked to lots of people on here about this because I've been through the same thing.

Believe me things will happen if they are meant to be. Ping is right you have to take care of yourself first. I am in a similar situation and I have spoken to 3 recruiters and have gotten three answers from "don't tell" to "well we think" to finally "get doctor approval to go off the meds and a letter from the doc stating why I was on the meds and that I do not pose a threat to myself or others."
I too am prior service and want to serve again but my welfare is more important than rushing things. Get all the info you can so you can rock and roll when the time comes.
Stay strong.
