Does Time in Service for promotion start the day you enlist or the day you ship to basic training. because i enlisted on march 22, 2005 but didnt ship until sep 11, 2006. thx

Army National Guard from the day you signed up and swore in.

are you sure about that because i am still an E1 and i have been in for about 22 months

I am prior service so I know its a lil bit different for me due to the fact I do not go through BCT and as so I was informed that it started the day I Officialy swore in. Sometiems under the DEP you do a mock swear in and it can SOMETIMES be a little different.
