:confused: Can you still volunteer to deploy under the new National Guard policy?
I was told when I joined that guard and reserve ALWAYS have the opportunity to go active duty.
I joined the guard so I could deploy, I want to fight for my country. I want to deploy after I finish up my degree in about 3 months. It seems that this policy is more geared toward involuntary "cross-leveling," where as much as over half a unit could be "stolen" and put with another.
Why should guys in my unit who just got back in June be forced to go again when you have guys like myself who have never deployed at all?
