Okay, to start things off I was going to join the guard back in November. I took the ASVAB and scored an 88. I was offered any job I wanted in the guard, as long as i could pss all the other medical and mental qualifications. I was also in JROTC for 3 years, so I would start out as an E2. I wanted to be a 96 Bravo (Intelligence Analyst) or a 31 Bravo (MP) as a backup career. I had all the paperwork filled out and everything, ready to go to MEPS and I just backed out. Not sure why but I have thought about it for a long time and I really think this is what I want to do. But, I'm not sure on the MOS. I mean yes, I want to do Intelligence, but intelligence analyst doesn't sound very interesting. What other intelligence careers are there out there for someone like me? I really want to do something with Intelligence, what? I don't know yet.

Also, i know the bonus's differ with the different MOS's, does anyone know what the bonus is for a 96B or other Intelligence careers?

Thank you for your time, and hope to hear from you soon.

Intel analyst is a great way to get started in the intellegence field. If you have no prior experience in this area, you will get some good training, and learn a lot about the the way intellegence is gathered, analyzed, and used in a tactical environment. This training opens up the doors to several possibilities. You could get in to the the civillian intellegence field, work for a law enforcement agency, or a the federal government. You have to start somewhere, and if you have a passion for intellegence, then this is a good place to start. Look at it as a stepping stone for your career.
