enlistment questions

I was active duty 1986-1992. Got out as an E-5 w/ 3 years T.I.G. as a 13F.
I am considering enlisting again to complete a retirement in the guard. I see that NC has a shortage of my MOS at this time. I was wondering whether or not I would have to take the warrior transition course and would you have to start as an E-1 again.

well its been a long time but you can come in as your old rank. might be a long process to get in since its been so long but you will not be joining as a e1
