Since Highschool, my career goals have changed quite a bit. In Highschool, I wanted to join the army right when I graduated. But because of all the crisis in Iraq, Iran, North Korea, and everywhere else, I decided to just go to my local JC untill I was sure where I wanted to go. Halfway through my first semster, I made the mistake of getting behind the wheel after I had been drinking. I was underaged, so I got hit hard. Since then my life has really straightened out, and I have a possitive goal in mind for my life, and I want to fit the National Guard into it.

I have a brother who owns a company, he and my dad own a seperate one togeather, then my dad is also GM of another compnay. I am a very friendly person, and work hard. So as I get older, Buisness management is where I want to exceed. But for now, Im going to start working toward being a Fish and Game Warden. Can work towards being a warden, and being in the National Guard at the same time? Also, I am on probation for 2 more years because of my DUI, does that affect me joining? Do I still have a chance at being a soldier?

You will not be able to join untill you are off probation and all fines have been paid. You have to have final disposition on all offences. Having a DUI can be a stumbling block. It might require a waiver if they convicted you of anything else besides DUI. Go talk to a recruiter in your area. They can tell you best what your options are after they have looked into EVERYTHING in you record.

SSG Scott is very correct on this, you're best bet is to speak with a recruiter in person preferrably with your documents in hand so they can see exactly what, when, where, why, etc. Good luck with your enlistment, if you have to wait just focus on other things like work, getting in shape, and studying for the ASVAB.
