Time questions

I am considering joining the ANG here in PA. I was wondering what the time frame was from when you begin the process until the point when you would be ready to leave for training?
Although I am not sure what I want to get into specialty wise I am a certified police officer and Nationally certified Firefighter. So they are serious options.

My main concern is the though of me being 37 years old and beginning this process (even though I am in pretty decent shape). Anyone that can offer any thoughts on this please do!

The time frame from joining to going to Basic is up to you. You can choose to go up to 365 days from the date of enlistment. That is one of the choices you make. Where in PA Are you?? If you want you can contact me and I can talk to you about what we have in the Guard here in PA.
