Question about money

I was told i will be getting the 20k enlistment bonus, after reading another thread in this section, was wondering do you get the 20k right away (he said he was supposed to get it 30 days after he joined)or do you get it later on?
That post got me thinking, so any info is appreciated,

I will be enlisting June 17th (assuming no more snow days) i wont be going to basic till next summer tho, so is it 3 years from enlistment, or 3 years after basic/getting the first half of the 20k?

you will only receive half of your enlistment bonus upon the completion of basic and you will receive the other half (after your completion of AIT) sometime later. But I am not 100% sure that what I just stated is correct.
It would be 3yrs after you have compleated basic.

from what i have heard
1/2 after compleation of ait
1/2 at the end of enlistment term

what happens and who do we talk to if its late?
tried my recruitment and retention nco and he doesnt seem to care. says it isnt on his desk so its not his problem.

Listen, if you sign a 6 year contract... youll get all of your money within 6 years. Useually.... you do your time in Basic and AIT and 30-90 days later you get the first half (50%) of your bonus. And then 3 years later you get the other half (50%). So if you got out of AIT Jan 1, 2006... you should see your first half (50%) somewhere in, around, befor, after April 3rd. If you dont see it, just utilize your chain of command. And yeah, they will probably tell you to go practice falling down, or wish in one hand and $hit in the other. But i promise you that you will get the money.

Like i said.... 30-45-90 days. Somewhere around there. Think about wild flowers in a pasture to better ***** your idle minds, it will be OKAY, i promise!
