What is the difference between a direct/indirect fire infantryman?

indiret fire is morters and stuff like that

Direct Fire Infantry (11B) is a traditional infantry soldier. Indirect Fire Infantry (11C) goes through the same training, then they have an additional week of mortar training. Once you complete training, you will be working with mortars.
