i'm a 31 yr old former corrections officer thinking about enlisting. will my profession help me get this mos ? also i do have college credit in this field but how much do i need to enlist at a higher rank?

Your profession will not really have any impact on what MOS you can qualify for. If you have 24 semester hours of college credit, you can enlist as an E-2. 48 semester hours can get you E-3. You have to have a bachelors degree to get E-4.
