:o My last day of school is May 26. I start college in early August. Would I be able to finish basic and AIT in time for school in the fall?

Have you seen a recruiter yet? If not, depends on how quick you can get through MEPS and get a ship date. Then it depends on how long your AIT was. If you haven't seen a recruiter yet or gone through MEPS, I wouldn't count on it.

it depends on the date you leave

You would be cutting it really close seeing as though basic itself is 10 weeks long.
I don't know if it would apply, but try asking about the split option. Maybe you can do basic between graduation and the start of college, and then AIT after your first semester. Definitely check with your local recruiter though..don't take just our word for it.

Yes...you can do the split option. You can go to basic training this summer, return in time to start college, and go to your AIT next summer. As long as you enlist soon enough to get a early June ship date.
