Basic Graduation

Does anyone know what happens after graduation? Do they have to hang around for a few hours for dismissal or something? He is at Fort Sill if that would make a difference.Just wanted to know if we needed to reserve 2 nights instead of 1. Thanks for any information.

My son just graduated BCT on 11/17 from Ft. Sill. He had a pass on Thursday afternoon (after the graduation lunch) utill 2100. He also had a pass on Friday from about 1230 until 2100. He had an on post pass on Saturday, but not everyone did. Did you get a graduation newsletter? Should have info in that and phone number for questions.

No, we haven't received a graduation letter as of yet.Maybe this week or next. Did your son return home right after graduation? We have planned for our son to return home to Wisconsin with us. That's why I am curious.

No, he didn't come home with us. He was scheduled to go right in to AIT there at Ft. Sill. He will be coming home for Christmas exodus, but will have to go back in Jan. You might be able to get some info or at least a phone number from Ft. Sill's web site http://sill-www.army.mil/Atc/

Make sure you bring a camera and take lots of pics. :)

Thank you ngmom.Actually, our son combined the Basic/AIT and will have his graduation Jan. 11. He does get to come home for Christmas then head back Jan. 3 for just 8 more days. The camera is ready!
