I'm PS going to join the ARNG with a waiver and than go Active Army after 6 months or so.
Now my question is:
What is going to be my Discharge or Separation Code when going from ARNG to Army?
Will the Army go by the Separation Code I had before the ARNG or by the Discharge from ARNG.
I'm getting different answers.
Some tell me I have to complete the whole ARNG enlistment and some tell me that I don't have to.
I want to get an answer from someone with out a conflict of interest.

You may request early separation from the Guard to join the Active component. If your request is approved, then you'll get an NGB22, which is our equivalent of the DD214. If you do not serve at least 12 months of your contract, you'll be subject to recoupment of any bonus you received.
Why would you join the Guard if your intent is to serve on active duty? Why not just join the active component straightaway?
Nowadays you can get all the active duty you want in the Guard. Speak to your commander about volunteering for mobilizations.
