I spent 4.5 years in the navy and have been out about 2 years. I'm am interested in joining the Ohio National Guard, and was told I would have to go through a "Warrior Transition Course" in order to do so.

Has anyone here been through the WTC? I've looked at the overview of it and some aspects about it seem kind of hard. It says from day 7 to 16, I need to get qualified with the M16A2, M249, AT-4, M18A1 mines, and grenades. That seems like a short time to get qualified in all of those weapons, especially for someone like me, who has never used any of them, not even the M16(I've used an AR-15 before, but not an M16).

So has anyone here been through the WTC? I want to know all I can about it before I go, so any info you can give would be welcome.

The Only thing that is actualy a "qualification" out of all of that is the m16

The rest of the weapon systems, is a days worth of training on the m219 at4 m18a1 (claymore) mines all at once. 1 more day is spent on grenades, maybe 2 at most, the reswt is all spent on m16
