curious

I've been toying around with the idea of joining the National Guard recently and am just curious as to how my past may affect my eligibility. Between the ages of 16 and 20 I used drugs fairly frequently. I'm not just talking Marijuana either. However, I was never addicted to anything and it never affected my life in a negative way. I haven't used since then and am now almost 26. I have a bachelors degree and served in the Peace Corps and have never been arrested or charged for any crime. I would like to continue with the tradition of public service that I picked up in the Peace Corps and feel that I would make a good soldier, especially with my cross-cultural and foreign language skills. Other than the past drug use I would be seen as a person with upstandng morals. My question is: How would that affect my eligibility to serve in the National Guard? Would it exclude me from certain specialties? Or would I not even be able to join at all?
