I want to become a Warran Officer and fly apaches, but by the Army's standars, I'm considered color blind. Yet, I can sit there and tell you what color clothing you have on, what color the backround of this page is, etc. What can I do to overcome that? Is there a waiver I can get?

Also, what other things do I need to do to become a Warrant Officer?

If you can't pass the color vision test, then it doesn't matter what else you can do.

There has got to be something I can do, I am NOT that color blind that it would affect me flying. I mean seriuosly. By there test, I'm not suprised that everyone is color blind. I mean ****, you start throwing in colors like "muave" and "tope", yeah, your not gonna see ****.

There are many jobs that do not require color vision. I recommend that you speak with a Recruiter (in a professional manner, of course) about those jobs. If you have limited color vision, there is no way to correct it.

You must pass a flight physical, which is more stringent that an enlistment physical (as the previous person discovered ... you can enlist for many jobs while color blind, but you can't fly). You must also pass the AFAST test, and be eligible for a SECRET clearance. You must be 32 or younger at time of flight school, meaning that you shouldn't be older than about 30 when applying.

Speak to your Recruiter to work out the details.
