Joining the National Guard is initally a part-time commitment. There are always full-time openings that you can apply for once you're in, or you can volunteer for a deployment. Have you looked into the Active Duty Army?

First if you join the Active Army, you will be relocateing where directed. If you move to Florida you will then have to move again. The cost of your move to Florida and your housing there is on you. When the Active Duty component decides where to send you you are allowed a certain wieght limit that the Army will pay for moving based upon if you are single or married (+ kids). This will not happen until after Basic Training and AIT, and is only for your assigned post, if you are single there is no paid housing or apartment, only the barracks.

If you are in the Army National Guard and decide to move to Florida, both the move and your housing are on you. If after you join, should you find that there is a full time position available and you get it, you may qualify for housing allowance, etc. But that depends on the type of position.

In Florida there is Infantry, so drive on and go for the 11B - it is a great MOS. If, as previously posted, you want to try to see if you can get selected toward going for Special Forces qualification, or another Special Forces support job - then by all means go for it if you meet the pre-requisite qualifications to do so (ASVAB scores/physical fitness, etc - going for SF does not guarantee you will be selected or qualified - but if you want the shot, take it.

Ultimaty do what you feel you need to do, based upon your goals. If you are going to move, try contacting the Florida ARNG and ask about full time opportunities or volunteer deployment opportunities available if you become a soldier there.

Pay for a National Guard unit that is drilling on a Friday and Saturday is equal to 4 days of active duty pay. In the NAtional Guard, although you may work considerable longer, the day is split into two 4 hour periods. So you get two days pay for each drill day. When you get paid it will be one check for the entire 4 days.

When you are on orders, or simply on active duty whether it be for training or a mission, you will get payed commensurate with the duration of duty - so 30 days duty = a full months pay. What you need to do is talk with your recruiter about your goals and find out information as to full-time support that allows you to be full-time.

If you're on orders for training or a mission for a full month (30 days) or longer, then your monthly pay conmesurate to your rank it's split in halves and you get one check on the 15th of the month and another at the end of the month. This is probably what you read about the two paychecks a month. It only applies when you're on full time basis orders.

Otherwise, as mentioned in the previous posting, you get paid for your weekend drills once a month (you get the paycheck one to two weeks after the drills depending on the workload of your state's finance office).

Although I do need to ask that you use common english when you post, as it is hard to read and is in a sense disrespectful to those helping you, I will try to see if I am undertsanding the question that you have:

1. Your pay is based on two things - your pay grade and time in service. Regardles of if your are on active orders or simply drilling, your pay is equal to your pay grade and the actual number of years you have served. This is why you see a fluctuation in the amounts between the different time's in grade.

2. Once you attend BCT and AIT you return to ARNG status (you are no longer on active duty) and you begin drilling once a month. If you are able to get on orders to perform a temporary full time job then you will basically be back on active duty for the duration of your orders.

3. Your move must be planned by you, but the fact you are trying to plan shows you are working to get your priorities correct. However you need to know that if you are not going into the Florida ARNG initially you must ensure that you get an authorized transfer - or else you need to return to your original state to drill when necessary, at your own cost.
