I hope this will answer your questions:

1. Whats the process to become an officer

This all depends on your situation. If you have 60 college credits, you can enlist directly into OCS. If not, you can go through BCT, AIT, get 60 college credits and then attend OCS.

2. How long is the process from going to boot camp to back at home

All depends on your MOS (Military Occupational Specialty). Some MOS's are 17 weeks, others are 4 weeks. This is in addition to BCT (Basic Combat Training) which is 9 weeks (1 week for reception and processing, and 8 weeks of training). All soldiers will go to BCT.

3. Where is OCS, I live in miami florida

Each state has their own State OCS program. Most likely, Florida's is not far from a major city. State OCS is one weekend a month, and 2 weeks over 2 summers. State OCS is 18 months long.

4. What jobs can I get as an officer

If you're referring to military jobs, it all depends on your scores and abilities. I believe if you qualify for OCS, any job is open.

If you're referring to a civilian job, it's up to your skill set and abilities - just like any other job applicant.

5. Are there any bonuses I apply for

Enlistment bonuses are based on the MOS you choose and/or qualify for. Military Police, for example, has a $20,000 enlistment bonus. Doing a Quick Ship (testing, processing, and shipping for BCT them same day) will gain you an additional $5,000 bonus). Bonuses are paid as 1/2 at the end of your AIT, and the other 1/2 after three years of service.

If you score over a 50 on the ASVAB, you can get the Montgomery G.I. Bill Kicker which gives you more money for college.

6. Whats my pay going into boot camp

All depends on your pay going into BCT. Check out: http://www.marylandguard.net/docs/paytable2006.pdf for the complete 2006 Pay Schedule by pay grade. There is an increase for 2007, but I don't have the new PDF on the web site yet. Search for "2007 military pay" on about.com and you will see the new tables. For an E-1 with less than 4 months of service, the monthly base pay is $1203.90. This does not include allowances for housing or other dependent allowances.

I hope this answers your questions. Feel free to contact me with anything more specific.

1. Whats the process to become an officer-you must complete Rotc, program which means you go to college and sign up for rotc and upon graduation of college you are commisioned as a second lt. And go to officer training.

2. How long is the process from going to boot camp to back at home: depends on your situation and how you do it if you go straight boot camp is about 10 weeks then you got to AIT which depending on your jobs can be anywhere from 6weeks to 2 years.

3. Where is OCS, I live in miami florida-Ocs is dependant upon if your unit can slot you and if you meet the standards after basic and ait.

4. What jobs can I get as an officer-alot

5. Are there any bonuses I apply for-I dont know what you applied for.

6. Whats my pay going into boot camp-depends on your rank
