Join the Guard in another state?

Hey all, quick question.

The job I'm wanting to join the Guard with isn't available in my state - it's only in a few other states. Am I totally SOL, or can I join with orders for that unit, and worry about moving all my stuff over while training or whenever?

You can join any state you wish. You just need to see a recruiter from that state. I recruit in Indiana but have enlisted people from Ohio and Michigan into the Indiana Guard
