had a bad landing a few years ago, fell on my left side and dislocated my shoulder really bad. to this day, it dislocates easily. i can't even pull back on a bow for deer hunting.

when i dislocated it my arm drifted aproximately 3 inches toward the center of my chest from the socket. i relocated it within 2 minutes of the accident.

went to the hostpital and they x-rayed it. all they did was give me some big rubber bands to stretch for therapy.

I "know someone" who has the same problem. He was still able to pass it though MEPS. The closest thing to looking for that problem is doing arm circles and extensions and things like that. If it dislocates during those, try to ignore the pain (if any) and make it as smooth as possible. When I went, there are 4 examiners and there were about 25 examinies.(spelling?) good luck

With an injury like that you would be a HUGE liability. What happens if you dislocate your shoulder during the heat of battle and can't function? You'd jeopardize the lives of those around you.

If I were you, I'd forget about joining the military. How would you be able to do push-ups with your type of problem? Or pull-ups? If I'm being too harsh, let me know. I'm very concerned.

I suggest talking to a recruiter. He or she will be able to advise you on your situation.
