Back in 2003 I was discharged from Navy basic training for asthma. However, this astham was caused by pneumonia and bacause of that it was temporary. I just had a test done to prove that asthma is no longer there. I received an RE-4 code discharge. I will like to join the national guard after college and have heard that some states no longer let RE codes get in the way. Is this true and if so which states no longer let RE codes prevent reenlistmet? Also, will I be able to get back in the military? Thank you for your time.
