To Whom It May Concern,
I am curently a few weeks away from inlisting in the ARNG as an Officer. I have prior service in the USMC and 83 college hours. I was wondering if it is possible to request to be deployed? I understand this might sound funny to some but I have been to the middle east and have thought about going back for a spell to help out.

I was also wondering if you and/or your family recives medical benifits while on reserve or active duty status and weather or not these benifits if any continue through retirement. I have checked the ARNG web site and I have not been able to find any information on medical benifits for service mebers or family members.
Thank you for your time.

ARNG Soldiers on active duty get the same pay & benefits as active duty Soldiers. Thus, you and your family have medical coverage through Tricare.

If you're enlisting for OCS, you've got a long time before you'll be eligible for overseas duty. You need to complete OCS, then complete BOLC-2 and -3.
