Hello everyone,I'm really interested in being in the guard and going to college at the same time.I also want to do ROTC to eventually become an officer. My question is if I start college and do ROTC can I still be deployed? I ask not because I don't want to be deployed, quite the contrary,I want to go out there and serve my country and wouldn't want to be stuck here stateside and never deploy.

This question has been answered in other posts, but to give a quick answer: You can volunteer to go to combat still if you want to do ROTC and be in the guard. But there is plenty of time after school to do that too. You just have to decide what you really want to do..
