I was a CW2 aviator. I have 14 years total service for pay. I will be 53 years old next month. Am I eligible to return to the guard?
Regards,
George

It might be close....Don't quote me, but I "think" you must have 20 yrs service by 60.
You might want to talk to a recruiter and wait for the aviators here to reply.

Not enough information,
but back to Recruiter school.
Based off this info, yes.
You might not be able to come back as a CW2 though, that is something that is outside the realm of a Enlisted Recruiter.
But you can contact your states Warrent officers recruiter. They work in the Officer Strength Management at your states Recruiting and Retention Command, and they are probably at your states HQ.

I have 6 years Regular Army enlisted. Seven years in the Texas Army National Guard. One of those years was active while in flight school. Became a Warrant out of flight school. Served the Guard as an aviator for 4 years. Promoted to CW2. Entered into IRR for 6 years then was discharged. My last ngb 22 stated I had 14 years and 6 months total service for pay. I have been out for around 15 years and just wanted to get a feel before going to a recruiter.

Wow, you could actually make your 20! Shame seeing 15 service years go to waste.

Yes Major the filter has gone insane as of lately.
And to CW2,
Is your last discharge good? like just completion of time?
If so you can get back in,
As a CW2? No clue but you would retire at that pay grade.
As a aviator? Doubt it if you have not flown in 15 years.

wow! I have an extra two years to get back into the guard? I thought I had to finish 20 by 60. So, I'm 45 with 9 or 10 years service, depending upon whom you ask . I called Texas SIDPERS a couple of weeks ago, and the young guy didn't show me discharged until 10 years of service.
I thought for sure I had 9 years.
Even if I have only 9 years, theoretically when(if) I get back into shape and sleep apnea disappears;) ;), I could enlist as late as age 51.
