The National Guard can help you get your GED, but only if you lose the weight first. You need to be a certain weight (depending on your height) and pass the ASVAB before you can enroll in the GED Plus program. Tell me your height, and I'll tell you the maximun weight you can be.

I just went to MEPS last week. I am 5'6 and weigh 225. I am not suppost to be more then 174. So I then had to do the body fat test. The max body fat is 26%. They concluded I was 27%. There is a exercise called the "Arms test" that allows you up to 30% body fat. So if you are in the range of 26-30% body fat, if you pass the Arms test, your in.
The arms test is a physical exercise that consits of 5 min of stepping up and down an 18in step to a beat that the reqruiters plays on a cd player, followed by 24 push ups.
Im not gonna lie to you. It gets tough. I really needed to push myself. I did it though and if you practice, Im sure you can too.
If I am wrong about any of this, please correct me reqruiters. Thank you. Good luck Anthony
