My daughter graduates H.S. this year.I want to join the guard,but I don't want to miss her graduation.How can I make sure I'm home for that weekend?

Just make sure you schedule your basic training start date for after your daughter's graduation. You have up to 360 days from the date of enlistment until you have to start basic training. If you have a drill weekend scheduled for the same weekend as your daughter's graduation, just coordinate with the unit to make it up at a later date. They are usually pretty flexible.

You can choose when you leave for Basic and AIT , up to 360 days from the day you enlist so ie Your daughter graduates on June 18, You leave for Basic June 28th , just a example
