Birth Certificate

Help! I am scheduled to go to MEPS on 9-25 but still haven't received a copy of my birth certificate from my home state of Florida. I've been told that no BC = no MEPS. Is there an alternate way for my recruiter to verify my birth information? I'm hoping it shows up in the mail today or tomorrow.

Your recruiter can call the city clerk's office and fax them a "verification of Birth" form. They just need to sign it and fax it back. This verifies that your birth certificate is on record, and will serve as a birth certificate until you get the actual copy. The form is a DD-372.
