2. I just recently enlisted 6 yrs in the Army National Guard and I am thinking becoming active? How soon can I do that? will I have to strat all over in MEPS or can my enlistment carry over to active?
3. If and when I enlist in active duty, can I request to go international as supposed to just staying in US.

If you are wanting to go active, all you will have to do is go through the process at MEPS as well as get with an Active Duty Recruiter. This should be able to get you to go active duty.
NOTICE: Once you start the process, since you wont have to re-train into another MOS or attend basic training (for soldiers that are wanting to retain their MOS) you should only have to go through MEPS and then to your duty station. Another thing that you will be required to do is pass a drug test, background check and all other types of pre-enlistment requirements as well as a P.T. test.
Contact your nearest active duty recruiter for more information, and you also must have your certificate of discharge from National Guard Duty.

You should NOT need to go through MEPS again if you want to go active as long as your physical is still current. You need to tell your chain of command what you plan to do, get any advice from them on how to proceed. You will need an active duty recruiter to process your paperwork. As far as volunteering to be stationed outside of the continental United States, that's something that only the Active Duty recruiter can answer.
