Does anyone have any information on what exactly happens during family day and graduation? Also what would I need to wear for graduation? Any help would be grateful......Hubby graduates from bct in Fort Knox on October 6th...YAY Thank You :p

Family day, while you will enjoy it, is something that your soldier has been looking forward to for months. There will be some sort of demonstration. You soldier may or may not be a part of this. It all depends on which platoon they chose to do it. If he is not selected it does not mean anything about him as a soldier. My platoon was honor platoon and we did not do any demonstrations. Then, at my graduation, you will be lead up to our quarters and there you will find you soldier waiting for you. Then you will go to a graduation dinner. After that you soldier will be released for about 5 or 6 hours to spend with you. Then he must go back for the night. The next day you will meet up again at the graduation. After the graduation you soldier will be released for the day. As far as what you should where I would say something business casual. This is a pround moment in the soldiers life so I would say dress appropriately. I hope you have a good time!!
