I just got back from my first RSP as a guest(so I didnt have 2 stay the night).
I enjoyed it (except all the hurry up and waiting).I did kinda bad on the 1-1-1
Push-ups:45
Sit-ups:45

Had a lil class on the M249 and we did weapons familiarization with the M16A2(Assembling and Disassembling etc.)

If you keep up your pace on all your events, you're set to pull a 300 in the 17-21 age group. I'd hardly call that bad. Trust me, there are others that do MUCH worse, but I'm happy to hear this still isn't good enough for you.
Keep pushing and let us know how you do tomorrow.

RSP is just through the Guard right? Do they have something similar in other branches? I think its a good idea.

I wish all RSP would jump on board and do "high speed" stuff like this with recruits. Unfortunately some RSP co. are too large to do this type of stuff. In 10 months at RSP the most exciting thing I did was having a class on land nav:rolleyes: We also had 120+ people though.

My first RSP we had like 100 people...
second, around 80
third, 60
fourth... 52
Now, 5 months later, and there were 18  Wow was it boring! DS made it as fun as possible. I was talking to DS about President Obama. He was showing me a bunch of news clips from last month on his computer. We discussed the subject for over an hour (DS and I are the same age 35) when he suggested I should return to class. Well when I joined the rest of the kids, they had just got done getting a 45 minute smoking! Not that I wanted to miss out on extra free PT, but the cadre seemed to have taken it a little too far as everyone was complaining.
Then, unknown to me, we were to clean up the building and have it squared away by 1130 It was already 1100. Usually with 40 people, it takes about an hour to clean it all up. Specialist expected us to do more work in less time. Ha ha ha... well we were late to fall in at 1130 (didn't know) and we all got smoked again (easy for me cause it was only a few minutes) Then he gave us an additional 15 minutes to finish up, "and it better be done." I had to laugh at him  He was just being a but-head, and he knew it. We managed to clean it up to his satisfaction and then we were dismissed after lunch chow clean up at 1330.
I'm done with RSP and ready to move on to BCT!

My first RSP there was only three of us in Red Phase. Our names were Thomas Thomas and Thomson haha. But Red Phase was suppose to ****, was a breeze actually. My SECOND RSP is when it kicked up a notch. At this point all of us are in the same classroom. The first day we had a suprise visit from a Drill Sgt. And later on the Drill Sgt took his hat off and gave us a big long talk about basic training and other things about the army in general. Was very very cool. We did circut training both days, second day one of the stations was obstical course. Even the Drill Sgt admitted it was good PT. The second day is always the day we get smoked soon as we get there.
