I am a junior at college and have a 3.5 GPA. I want to become a pilot but my vision is not 20/20. I would need to have the PRK laser surgery done. Does anyone know who I could contact in order to find out if I could get a waiver for this?

If, after surgery, your eyesight meets flight standards, you can apply for a waiver to attend flight school. Expect to wait a year after surgery, because the eyes need time to stabilize. Note a few key facts:
1. You must get the surgery at your own expense. The Army won't pay for it, or reimburse you. It comes out of your hide.
2. Even after the surgery, your eyes still might not meet standards. Speak with your eye doctor first, so you know what you're up against. Often they can tell whether you'll have 20/20 afterwards or not.
