what I am trying to say is that if I were to move with my mom and dad to ohio can I still stay with my guard unit in KY and still continue going to my college in KY while getting Kentucky's tuition assitance....I hope this makes sense.

In order to get their help with school you have to live in that state. BUt yes if you moved you would not a interstate transfer for the guard and to change schools.Unless its really close to where your moving and can drive.

1. The Guard does not care where your parents live. You can stay with your Guard unit in Kentucky regardless of where your folks live. In fact, you don't need to live in Kentucky, as long as you can continue to make drill and fulfill your obligations.
2. Colleges usually only care where your parents live before you attend college. You usually prove your legal state of residency by your parents address before you start college, but this is usually because you're a minor before you start college. If you continue to live in Kentucky and declare it your state of legal residence, you will continue to pay in-state tuition, even if your parents move. Check with your college about proof of in-state residency.
Make sense?

i got another question.....If I do SMP (ROTC) will it cover the rest of which the national guard does not pay for (tuition)?.........it says the Guard pays 100% tuition but only up to 4,500 for a school year, so if tuition is about 7000 per year and the guard pays 4500 will ROTC pay the other 2500?
