I am learning Arabic, speak in varying degrees, also Spanish (currently tutoring/translating), French, Portuguese, Italian) and would like to train for translating Arabic. I took the linguistic aptitude test on the Navy website and scored extremely high, even with "nonsense" languages. Languages come super easy and fast to me. On the Arabic, I have already mastered the pronunciation and am now proceeding to learning the script. All of this is self-taught. I have some experience in the military in the Texas State Guard (state militia), and we drilled on Camp Mabry in Texas. My rank was E-5 and my specialty was security.
