I'm not sure if it is considered DEP in the Guard, but in my question to follow I am referring to the time spent from when you take your oath, until the time one ships to basic.
I am going to use a hypothetical situation here; let's say I have 40 college credits when I take my oath. According to what I've read, that would put me at an E-2. And let's say, I don't ship for basic until 4 or 5 months from now. During that time, I keep attending college and end up with 52 credits. Would that put me as an E-3 if I brought my transcripts with me to basic? Or do you only get the credits you had BEFORE you signed and took your oath?
Also, to get E-4; is it an associates degree, bachelor's degree, or an x amount of credits?
