I was getting ready to take my asvab test mon. and then go to meps, going in 11C, going in the GED+ program, I assume this program is no longer going on? Is it true that the NG is no longer taking GED's? Man I thought I was close. Someone please help, I have been studying for the asvab for 3 weeks now so I could blow right through it with a great score my first time...

I am in Indiana if that matters.

I heard it was a no go for a GED and a Moral waiver. But I'm not for sure if its GED's all together or not.

waivers of all kinds are a no go,not sure about the GED,I had a GED and could have got in before they stopped taking medical waivers even though my unit is short on staff

So is the GED+ program still a go? I wouldn't think it is if the NG isn't even taking GED's...?

Can you get in with a GED?

They way I have had it explained is that you can get in with a GED, just as long as you don't need any waivors?

I assume I would need no waivors, a GED, and 15 collage credits to get in now?

I wonder if they are just tring to fill the classes that they already have people in. I'm supposed to go in July and it would only make since that if they are going to still let those of us that enlisted before the change go they might as well fill the class.

Plus anyone that gets into the class at this point would not be done with GED +, BCT, AIT until end of FY.

I think if you have all ready enlisted (signed your contract) then you are a go. No matter if the policy changes of not.

Yeah it's ironic how GEDs are no longer accepted but we can accept people without GEDs and put them in a GED+ program..

I guess my laziness finnaly paid of but not getting my GED yet. I will be going in to the GED+ program, I would **** if I were to get in but someone with a GED wasn't. Something isn't right...

I'd expect that we'll soon hear the sound of that loophole come crashing closed as soon as one hand sees what the other hand is doing.

SMiller- if you're interested in the program, I'd personally try to get it sorted ASAP. With the NG changing their policy on recognizing the GED, I can't imagine they'll keep in place the program to provide one for all that long.
