I live in Denver and am Prior Service. I have approached the Area Strength Manager regarding for Critical WOC MOS needs. My past MOS's are not a fit for the Colorado NG critical WOC MOS needs. My past MOS's match critical MOS needs in the enlisted ranks. Is it possible for me to look outside the state that is within driving distance for drill weekends for other Critical WOC MOS needs?
Thanks

Yes, sir. I know for a fact you can live in one state and drill in another. It is entirely up to you to weather or not you want to drive that far to drill. By the way.. what is the best route to getting into the WOC?

The Guard doesn't care where you live, as long as you show up on time. I personally drilled across the border for seven years (my unit was just across the state line), and knew other Soldiers there who did the same thing. Speak with a tax professional about how to handle the state tax issues of earning money in one state while a resident of another state.
