Perhaps someone here can relate or give some advice.
I enlisted on 01/20/09 and have completed 2 RSP drills. I do not have a myPay account nor have I gotten paid for the 1st drill yet. I ship to BCT in 2 weeks. I am getting really nervous. I called everyone I was told to call from the mypay help desk and they sent me here, then I was sent there....blah blah....6 numbers later...nobody can help as my unit supposedly has not entered me in the system yet. I told me recruiter this at drill this weekend and my RSP clerk. Both say they are on the prowl for me...but given the delay thus far I am not convinced they can help much more before I ship. Can anyone offer any outside assitance or advice? I am getting nervous. This is the last thing I need before I ship and is my only real worry. Thanks.

Worst case scenario, you can settle this at reception in BCT.
But you should be in the system and paid by now... keep working on it.

No need to fret friend. Your first RSP check will come in the mail, you did fill out a direct deposit form? Are you in AKO, and Mypay? Did you get your temp mypay pin in the mail? As soo as you get it log in and change your pin, don't expect it to be big especially if they take 3 months of life insureance out.
Everything is going to be gravy.

It will be fixed at basic if not sooner. Don't sweat it...

ok cool deal. I know I dont need MYPAY account to get paid...but I want to know its in working order before I am unable to touch it for 10 weeks in BCT. I did manage to speak with a woman who was very helpful. She was able to tell me that I was entered in the system at a very late date...Paper work issue? Who knows. Her excuse was those with bonus take longer to set up...blah blah...I wasnt buying it. Long story short she says I will start getting paid this week. I had misunderstood. I thought I needed a mypay account to get paid. My worry was child care expenses and the like while I am away. If I didnt get paid....well...that would make for a heck of an obstacle. Thanks for the help yall....as always you are all very helpful. Love this forum and the Guard.

Just a heads up for everyone...Active Duty can not fix pay problems that happend before basic, these need to be fixed with your RSP.
Also...an FYI for eveyone, often times your state will not get you loaded in the system for sometimes up to a month. This is not always the case, but somtimes this happens and when it does, it will cause pay to be delayed because obviously if your not in the system then they cant cut you a check.

Not to be a downer on the Guard or anything but it's not exactly uncommon to have pay issues and for them to take months upon months to be fixed. When you DO start getting paid, make sure you put at least a months worth of salary away for the "just in case" times. It's hard but it's the only way we've stayed afloat when they forget to pay my husband... or lose his paperwork... or "don't know what the problem is". Not that this will be your problem right now, but it's best to be prepared for the future!
Here we sit AGAIN... no travel pay since the first of January and no pay for three weeks... *sigh*

You are not alone and it is not just a NG thing. It is DOD wide. You'll see how quick the government is to take back money that is owed to them but oh so slow to dole it out when you deserve it.
My advice is to track your pay and your service record very closely because more than likely nobody else is! Just because someone is getting paid to do that as part of their job doesn't mean they are..

It's a military thing.
I think AIT for the 42A needs to have less 6 hour long work days and less weekend passes.
