I hope they don't stop them in mid flight. Mine was submitted Friday.

ok, as of March 15th no moral waivers will be allowed, in short if you have legal issues or a past that results in you needing a waiver, you have until 15 March to get that waiver approved.

So, NGB would stop the process in it's tracks on the 15th or would they just not allow any more to be submitted? Seems strange they would disregard waivers that were generated before the 15th but just not gotten to by then.

guess they decided to reject them early in my case. the person who looked at my waiver kicked in back and asked my recruiter to have me rewrite my letter because it didnt appear i was sorry enough. so i did, and that kinda told me it would get approved they just wanted a better letter. so i redid it and my recruiter even said his superior who take a look at it and revise it if necessary and it got rejected? guess i go back to the drawing board and just look at active duty or reserves?

What's the point of that? Wouldn't it have made more sense if you would just post all the information in one post instead of just writing bits and pieces at a time?

didnt get all the info at first so its better then posting info thats not accurate. Pretty straight forward, if your gonna need a moral waiver then get it moving now, is anything else really needed? no

Well, looks like i don't have a chance. I'm scheduled to retake the asvab on the 11th and my recruiter is telling me i don't need a waiver but i know i will need it from when i was a juvenile. he went all over the city trying to find my information when i was a juvenile but had no luck. i know what i've done 6 years ago and i'm not gonna go test if he's not going to try and get me a waiver. I'm not about to get a fradulant enlistment.

my recruiter told me today, after we talked and he told me I had my medical waiver approved, but my moral denied, that 27 other recruits on the same day had moral waivers denied. so they may not be waiting till the 15th, they are taking action now. i am in AZ...... Army reserves here i come.....

My recruiter told me last week that there was a recruiting freeze in AZ. I guess we will find out soon enough if all are being rejected, or just some states.

I talked to a recruiter and he told me that the only moral waivers that will be affected are osut waivers or something. He said if it was family violence, drugs or something very serious. My moral waivers are already passed but I wanted to check to clarify for everyone else. That is the info I recieved so I hope it helps

Well you could have waited for all the info until posting it. But then again, that makes too much sense.

Perhaps you should focus more on getting to your eighteenth birthday than instructing veteran recruiters on their methods of disseminating information to potential recruits.

sgt davis, i don't remember the case numbers or ticket number for them because it was coming on over 7 years ago. Good news is that my recruiter said he will submit the waivers as long as i get 3 letters of recomendations. Any advice on those letters? I'm having my boss at work write one of them, then my mother in law write another, then congresman duncan hunter. What should the letter's more be about? Also, if my waivers approve but my asvab score is below a 50, how long do the waivers last?

Are moral waivers the same as an AG waiver?

Chaplain4me

NGB waivers are the highlest level of waivers. Some waivers can be handled at different levels. I'm not a recruiter, but all moral waviers are not equal.

Just wondering, because my medical waiver was approved and before that my moral waiver was aprroved, then my recruiter called me the day I was suppose to go to MEPS and said he had to get an AG waiver for me.

I don't see what that has to do with anything. I didn't mean to offend you or sgtdavis, I just thought it would be useful to post a thread when you have all the information. But then again, what do I know, I'm not even eighteen.

when theres only a couple of weeks for a deadline to get a waiver submitted every second counts in order to get letters, court docs and drivers records. Thats why i posted the hint to get it done asap so people had every sec possible to get their waivers submitted by the deadline. No hard feels bro, just stating your thoughts

moral waivers are waivers that are required due to law violations - AG or NGB isnt important info for an applicant to know its just different authority for approvals. IE: where the waiver is submitted for approval

A recruit really has zero power, so he might as well smile as he waits.

Is a moral waiver needed for any misdemeanor no matter how old it is?

Chaplain4me
March 5th, 2009, 08:07 AM
depend on the nature of wavier. Usually if people have two charges they will nedd a moral wavier. Or multiple trafic ticket.

Depends, every recruiter has a book where they can look up every instance. I'm sure you may be able to find it online. But the RRNCO's office is the best pleace to start.

If you sign up soon you could still get a 10k bonus.

bottom line, if you have any law violations and want to join i highly suggest getting all the court documents regarding said charges and bring them in person to your local recruiter- TODAY, if you dont do this then you really dont want to join anyway, really that simple. Good luck
