does it say I do not have permission to view page when I click on peoples profiles. I've never been on a forum where viewing profiles was restricted.

Yes, mine does that too, i think it's because we're junior members.
Correct me if i'm wrong.

The admin has the website configured as such. Only moderators have those features to assist with spamming and verifying new members.

it removes the easy pm link so now you would have to know how to spell the person username to pm.

it removes the easy pm link so now you would have to know how to spell the person username to pm.
If a member has posted, in their post left click on their name and choose to PM them. A drop down menu appears with that being one of the choices.
