I'm prior service ARNG,(9 years got out as an E-5 71L) and I have since added 8.5 years of food service management experience in a cafeteria. I also have a Bachelor's Degree. I am wondering if I should try to get back in as a food service specialist first, with the advantage being I would get the $15,0000 bonus, and then maybe later try to advance to a food service warrant position? Does this sound reasonable? What does it take to document civilian experience? Would just a letter from my former employer do the job? I assume I would still need to go to AIT.

Thanks

For WO MOS predetermination you'll want documentation of experience not only in the technical aspects, but also in supervisory capabilities. Yearly performance evaluations and education certificates are ideal. Work with your state's Officer Strength Manager.
