Looking to do the PT test this weekend to up rank before I go to Basic. I currently run a 20 minute 2 mile just taking my time. My question is do you take this test at the same time as others? I could use the competition to up my time to 17 min for the 2 mile. I am sure I can do it....just need some extra encouragement is all. I think I have the PU and SU ok. Its my running that is the issue.

I was wondering the same thing as well. BTW what are the standards to rank up by the PT test? I know it is the 2-2-2 but I do not know how many pushups, situps, and 2 mile time you need to pass

You mean 20-minute 2-mile, right?

The only army PT tests that are not perfomed as a group, would be makeups...which usually still includes at least a few people. 1 person is rare, but it depends on the circumstances. (immediately need one for a school)

You need 60 points in EACH category to pass.

Yes I edited...I meant 20 minute 2 mile run. I was unsure if it was ran as a group or not. Being with the group would give me great competition. Thanks.
