Great article. We could use more people like him in this world..

Kurt Warner on Pat Tillman:
"He was living for a bigger purpose and that went way beyond the game and way beyond money."

Good post. I'm mad at myself for not making the Tillman-Cardinals connection as the Super Bowl has approached.

I actually had no interest in the super bowl until now ( Patriots Rule). I guess now I'll be routing for the Cardinals.

I remember being moved by his story when it happened back in '04. Unbelievably sad.. yet incredibly inspiring. Now here we are, five years later and he is still inspiring people..

Big props to Tillman, but it'll take a lot more than him to get me to root against the Steeler's. I grew up rooting for them with my hero being Rocky Bleier, who came back to the team after getting wounded in Vietnam.

I have been a member of the Tillman Foundation since is was first started. What Pat did was very honorable. Himself, along with all the ones that have given the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country. All soldiers make sacrifices. He gave up millions to do his part. Others have given up family and friends. I believe you cant put one person in a catagory because they gave up millions. Every one of us values something different. I cherish time with my son, and the little league and time I spend with him, I can not put a price on. We all give up things. Thats a major drive in me that appreciates the sacrifices of military members. Tillman, its just one of many, but given his ability and the vehicle to put it in the limelight, really brings out the effort it takes to achieve and keep freedom.

Could not of said it any better. I will miss my family (as this will be the first time I will be away from my son for that long) when I go to BCT, but I believe that what I am going to be doing is well worth it.
