Hey, i am interested im joining the services specifically guard or marines, pssibly OCS for either one as well, however, i have a physical disability. I have limited motion in one arm and also limited strength. It really only affects my ability to do pullups, pushups, and like exercises. However, i strive to overcome it as my coacjes say, i find alternate exercises and never let anything stop me. What would happen for me to enlist? would they take me? is there an alternate route? much help appreciated

I suspect that it will be an issue, but there is only one way to tell....MEPS.

Yeah, at MEPS they will determine if you are ok or not. You have to do around 20 something range of motion exercises. Or a recruiter may be able to help you, they usually know what you do at MEPS and can test you on it to see if you can or can't.

As an officer, you have to be 100 percent and lead from the front. No alternate push-up event. You might have some issues but good luck.
