I have a dilemma.
I was supposed to ship in Oct. but was over body fat, then when I did my shipper checklist, I was at 23.5 and my NCO said I was under, but everywhere online says 20 percent is the maximum allowable body fat?
Am I under or over?
help!
Thanks

Well, the question is, are you prior or non-prior service?

Prior service the authorized body fat is 20%.

Non-prior is 26% for your age group.

You come in at 18 lbs over and 24% body fat.

Did those measurements come from you or did they come from a tape test at MEPS?

The sheet has you overweight by 28lbs and over 4% your authorized body fat. You came at 24% and allowed 20%. Do alot of sit-ups and crunches, drink water and work on getting your neck thicker.

NPS has a much higher BF% limitation.

When I was at MEPS there was a few that were borderline. They were told to lower that before they ship out. Just excercise and watch what you eat and I would imagine BCT will shed some LBS for sure.

Good luck!
