Let me start off with my story:
I've always known I had feet that physically looked flat, but I never understood it. I just knew it looked flat. Never knowingly had a problem with my feet. When I first enlisted, at MEPS, despite common sense, I pointed out my feet to the doctor. He asked me a few questions and he said it should be fine.

In the middle of BCT I've started to notice strange pain in my feet, and I was terrible at road marches. I mean, I've never strapped on 80+ pounds of gear and walked for miles, and not at my own pace. To make a long story short, I ended up getting EPTS'd about the 13th week of my 15 (Infantry).

Now it's been 3 years since then, and 2 years ago I got my problem corrected with orhtotics. I was diagnosed by my podiatrist with Pes Planus and Plantar Fasciitis. And she prescribed me custom molded orthotics.

I'm determined to enlist again, as an MP this time around. When I talked to a recruiter, he told me my RE code was eligible for reenlistment. But he tried to put me in a office admin job with some story regarding secret clearance and that it won't jive with my previous discharge. This was 6+ months ago and I haven't talked to another recruiter since. (I had a governemnt guest at my hotel who was a recruiter and he instantly called BS and laughed)

For those more knowledgeable I ask you, how do I go about this? I'm 24 years old, put on some weight since, but losing it slowly. Like I said, I am determined to enlist again and go through with it. But I fear I can't do it without my orthotics. I know I can manage BCT again if I have my orthotics on.

When I went to BCT I had a battle buddy with orthotics with him in which he said he had to get a waiver for. So I know it's possible.

National Guard in Hawaii have no face here, unlike the regular Army office so plainly visible on Kapiolani Blvd, so I've been having alot of trouble getting in touch with them. I left a message with one recruiter who I think is the same recruiter that tried to sell me the admin job, but he didn't call me back. I signed up in the Path To Honor but still no response. Granted it's only been 3 days. I really don't want to go to the Reserves or Acitve Duty.

SPD code JFW. RE code N/A.
Last ASVAB was AFQT 74. GT118. Average of all line scores is 115. I really need someone who would take the time to help me get a waiver and signed up as MP.

The key is to get the best shoes for plantar fasciitis (http://bestshoesforplantarfasciitis.net/), in particular any shoe that is made by New Balance, Asics, or Kuru. I've had success with all of these brands, and have been dealing with plantar fasciitis for several years now. Regards.
