hello. in MOS 21B, do you HAVE to have a valid state drivers license? reason asking is because my license is suspended for 3 months and i will be gone for a little over 4 months for bct and ait for 21b osut. will i be ok? or should i contact the bmv to ask for privilages?

I was a former 21 (12) bravo and I joined when I was 17 without a state DL.

I think you do in fact need it...
sir, would i need it in basic / ait?

Qualifying scores.
(a) A minimum score of 90 in aptitude area CO in Armed Services Vocational aptitude Battery (ASVAB) tests administered prior to 2 January 2002.
(b) A minimum score of 87 in aptitude area CO on ASVAB tests administered on and after 2 January 2002.
Active Army and Reserve Component enlisted personnel that meet the qualifications outlined in DA PAM 611-21.
SECURITY: None
Formal training (completion of MOS 21B course conducted under auspices of U.S. Army Engineer School) mandatory."

i didn't see anything about having to have drivers license?

Believe me if you needed a driver's license, you wouldnt have been able to lock in the MOS. Like I said, you couldnt be an MP without it so with that said; people who didnt have it, couldnt get it at MEPS. You are good to go. I told you before that I didnt have one when I was a Combat Engineer when I went to Basic and AIT. I was 17 years old at the time in 1983.
