I am a prior service who has an honorable discharge with a reentry code of 3 and a separation code of jkk. i went to a national guard recruiter and he told me that instead the waiver just going to the state, it has to go to the national guard bureau. Does anyone knwo how hard it is to get these waivers? (my discharge was a chapter for one hot urinalyisis, the reason for separation was drug use) I am ver nervous about it. I have 5 great character references 3 from retired military personnel and i wrote a statement, but am not sure it is going to be good enough. Please help! Any input wuld be appreciated.

I know DWI is ok...but drugs?....Everyone should have a second chance. Within reason. Just be straight with them.

Can a re3 with Under Honorable from the ANG be waived for Active duty enlistment.

good luck finding a straight answer to your question....I have been on every board imaginable trying to find an answer to my question. I mean most posts have given me a better idea of what to do..but none have told me that htey have heard of people actually getting a waiver for my discharge.
