Okay....to make a long story short, used to live in California. California in general has a thing about gun ownership.

Through what can be termed a miscommunication between myself and a therapist...ended up getting held for 3-day temporary psych evaluation..but was released. To make matters worse, a temporary restraining order was thrown in the mix by my employer since they got wind of the whole deal. It was a bit of a mess. It all got sorted out. I was given a clean bill of health after 3-days and released...kept my head together through the whole deal. the TRO was dropped and it was entered into the court record that it was all a screw-up.

is any of this problematic if I'd like to join the serve in the Guard? Is it necessary for me to either divulge the actual details of this incident...and or will my background be investigated to the extent where all this will be re-hashed? At this point...it's old news..and, well, as far as I'm concerned...I never did anything wrong and it's a private matter.

Thanks...any advice or answers appreciated.

We don't care what you were charged with, only what your CONVICTION was. Take in your final disposition papers when you go see your recruiter. If what you way is true, you stand a chance.

Nothing is private in the enlistment process. See your recruiter and roll from there... EVERYTHING turns up sooner or later so avoid the Fraudulent Enlistment and risk dismissal.
