I"m getting all the info together to join the National Guard, but still need help finding information on specific FT jobs in NJ. Is there a good website that shows all the jobs available at each base. I'm sure it changes daily, but it's a good start to help me decide my MOS before I go to basic.

Thanks in advance

Prolly won't be that much use to you till after you MOSQ. But keep in mind many fulltime jobs are not MOS specific and others will give you up to a year to get that new MOS.

Looks like jobs are suckin. They just sent a ton of troops to Iraq.

Here in Iowa, with a small base like Camp Dodge...there are TONS of AGR, ADSW and Tech positions.

Make sure you look into NJ state jobs also. Short work days + 30 days paid military leave.

There are all sorts of FT Guard Jobs, but the variety comes with Technician. The most abundant AGR jobs are in Admin or Supply. Most (notice most, not all) you need a little bit of rank to get. PFC or SPC. You dont enlist with a FT job, you apply for them after enlistment and IET, for the most part.

i'm really looking into getting a full-time guard job which would just be awesome, but i'm looking through my contract it says any active guard job or mil-tech job you take will void your bonus and any other incentives you have i.e. gi bill and TA...something like that...i'll double check that now actually , but does anyone know how that works?

MOST (not all, but the majority) of FT NG jobs come into play after you have gone to Bct at least, and normally Ait also. Yes, you can loss your incentives for taking these jobs. Each one you apply for (keep in mind, you have to apply, once enlisted for them) these jobs it will give the details on any lost incentives that may occur if you get them. A good rule of thumb (although not always true, but often time it is) you need to have been done and graduated with Ait for at least six months before accepting a full time guard job you apply for without loosing your incentives. Ask your Recruiter for more specific information.

PM me next time you come down here. Although next year I am ETSing right about the same time we do AT. Debating whether to request to skip it or have 1 last summer camp for some extra money. I'll have a 3month old by then.

It likely wont be this next summer. Usually by now there is some talk of where it will be (subject to change). We have a Camp Dodge, California, Fort Mccoy, Germany, and a couple other places rotation. You reup for a few years. lol
