I am a 21 year old male who had shoulder sugury in the year 2003. Since the surgury I have had no problems with my shoulder. I am still getting denied by MEPS because of that. Are waivers easy to attain and how do those exactly work? Who makes the final call on waivers and what exactly do they consider?

I was told that all waivers have to be reviewed by the (correct me if I'm wrong anyone)attourney general (for matters of national security) and they could take upto 3 months but generally 3 weeks or so....I'm not sure exactly what else you would need to do but I'm sure that the recruiter you are attempting to enlist with should know how to go about filing the paperwork. Before doing so ask him everything that you can do to better the chance of you getting an approval if you are as serious as I am:) .
